Best of Ghana Mission Trip 2022 So Far

It’s been 1 full week since our fearless friends headed out to Abetifi, Ghana for the 2022 Adopt One Village mission trip. While the Leadership Center is still a work in progress, that hasn’t stopped their momentum. From stocking up medical supplies, to distributing shoes to students, to learning about how to prepare a clinic for women in active labor… they can’t stop and they won’t stop! Giving is in Team AOV’s nature.

During this Ghana Mission, students are gifted gently-used sneakers so they can walk comfortably to school; many of the students walk far distances to be able to get an education.
During this Ghana Mission, a medical professional administers First Aid wound care to a villager. Lesions and infections of the skin are a common issue in the area.
During this Ghana Mission the Adopt One Village volunteers learn about clinic needs for women in active labor at a nearby Maternity Ward in Abetifi.

It is the mission of Adopt One Village to bring sustainability one village at a time. To do so, AOV has determined four areas of focus for themselves, their partners and their volunteers. They are Health, Education, Infrastructure and Quality of Life. AOV is currently working in the village of Yaw Tenkorang and hopes to use its efforts there as a model to help other impoverished areas.
